The librarian warned her, but now it was too late. It was a rainy night, one that will never be forgotten, Monday, January 18th, 1941.
The tall, thin, and wavy haired girl scanned the book…beep! “There you go Alice dear, but I do have to warn you, no one has ever checked out this book before because it’s a haunted book with secret hidden stor……”
“Oh Ms. Higgens, I don’t believe in all of that rubbish nonsense, but thank you for the book.”
Alice left home on that rainy day. Yes…finally, I can read this book, The Girl At The Magical Garden.
When Alice read the title, she didn’t seem to believe the book was haunted, so she continued reading. Once she came to page 45 which read, “Selena picked out tulips roses and sunflowers, and saw a huge vine tree, but she had no idea what was contained in those so-called vines.”
Suddenly, Alice was experiencing those very vines all around her. Then after a moment of complete silence, after taking a single last breath, Alice fainted onto her bed. She passed away on that dark and rainy night Monday, January 18th 1941.
The librarian did warn her, but it was definitely too late now.
